    1. You dont need a pin. Just push the accept/enter button on the pad and it will work as credit.

    2. Shame on US Bank for issuing a Rewards Card that chrages 1.00 to speak to a live body. A reward isn't a reward if it's a cost to the user.

  2. I try to use my reward card for the 1st time since I received it 2 weeks ago. They ask for the pin number because it is a debit card. But the bank never give me the number because it is a $25 Card+ Bonus card. Please teach me how to get one?

    1. I had the same problem and I don't know what to do. I couldn't go to the web site they gave. I'm alittle frustrated

    2. FYI, try this: it shows it is a 'Debit' card but you are supposed to use it as a 'Credit' card. So when asked or when you slide it through the machine, always hit the 'credit'. See if that works.

    3. I went to use mine today and said not enough funds, when I called it said $200 on the card and that is the amount I was using- how embarrassing

  4. I just tried using the computer to access my Rewards Card from US Bank on the computer and, guess what, it won't let me see my balance, so, in fact, you cannot use the computer to find anything out with this card...you have to call and then be charged $1.00 to have any questions answered. Also, you cannot use more then $10.00 at a time when you go to use it. I was just cheated out of the last $10.00 from the first one I received. It's a bunch of crap. Don't fall for the enticement of opening up a savings account with the "reward" of $50.00 to maintain a balance of a certain amount for 6 months.

  6. THIS CARD IS THE BIGGEST JOKE AND CHEAT IN THE WORLD. I CHARGED A MEAL AT A RESTAURANT WITHOUT LEAVING A TIP ON IT. THEY HELD 20% AND PUT IT IN THEIR ACCOUNT FOR 7 DAYS, GAINING INTEREST, USING MY MONEY FOR NO REASON. IT COST ME OVER $3 TO FIND OUT THEY WOULD DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. I HAVE SENT THE COMPANY THAT GAVE ME THIS CARD A COMPLAINT AND HOPE THEY USE ANOTHER CARD COMPANY. THIS COMPANY IS A CHEAT

  7. Haven't use ours yet, but was told best n/to use it at a restaurant, they will automacticly put 20% of it for tip. If you use it for gas go inside and use it, it won't swipe at the pump. As far as calling the 866 # 1st (2 calls) are free, after that will be charged to your card 50 cents for each call and $1.00 if you ask to talk to someone.

  8. I received my card in November stating on it that after 13 months it would take off 2.50 service charge. The following September 10 months later I went to use it and there is no balance because they started taking 2.50 off each month. After calling customer service they said the card was issued a year prior to me receiving it. Maybe we need to put a issue date on cards. Cause they just go me for 50.00. UNHAPPY

  9. From reading posts and comments online and my own experience with U S Bank I would definitely agree the program is a rip off. U S Bank is aware of the disappointment from current and past customers but still continues to promote the program. I went to the branch in Joplin MO at first to find out why my $50 went to 20 and I just activated the card. I was told because I did not use it. Explained card says expires Nov 2013. Yes guilty did not read the rules of the card because I looked at it as a bonus for saving and did not know I would loose it as long as I used by expiration date. They also told me can not help because I no longer bank with them. I always thought once a customer always a customer. Wrong on that. U S bank also does not go out of its way to retrieve lost funds for you and claims Visa has control of the card not them. Real sure no future business with them. We stopped banking with them because of their fees and rules for services. We choose to bank with a credit union.

    2. I don't know why there are so many people complaining about the card. it is a reward car. meaning it is free to you. why are there so many people upset. it didn't cost u anything.
      it was free.
im sure people would complain if they didn't get one I registered my card and have not had any problems like some other people that take time to register things and read the directions on how to use or change your pin.

  12. I just recently received a reward card and IMMEDIATELY went online to register it; maybe that could solve some of the problems you're having with it. I've used mine for online purchases as well as a Subway purchase - worked fine.

  13. I just found out that my 3 $30 US Bank reward cards are worth $12.50 each. I had this happen with a Visa card but it had a value of $0. Either use them right away or lose, what a deal for the card issuers. I told everyone I know to not buy these cards since they are a losing purchase.

  14. US Bank Rewards Card is a ripoff. Can't talk to a live person without being charged a fee of $.50 or $1.00 which is taken off your Rewards Card balance. The only way to get out of this program is to cancel your account and apply for a new card. I am waiting for a supervisor to call me back. Will see if anything happens.

  17. to find out your balance, just take it to the grocery store and have them run it...problem solved. They will tell you how much is on the card. And it is free.

  18. You can check your balance by using your phone. I used my IPhone with no problem at all.

  19. Same problem. Can not get into the site to check the balance. Shame on me for not reading the fine print on the back of the card. You would think that if you have a $50.00 with an expiration date on it that the card would be good for that amount until it expires. With the rewards program for opening a new account, I was taxed for the full amount by the government, but I do not get to use the full amount. Totally false advertising by this bank corporation.
